You can set up direct deposit for most recurring payments, including:

  1. Payroll or pension checks

  2. Social Security benefits

How to Set Up Direct Deposit

Setting up direct deposit is quick and easy. Here’s how:

  • Employer paycheck - Most employers allow you to set up direct deposit through their online HR or payroll portal. If you’re not sure how, contact your HR or payroll department for instructions.

  • Social Security checks - Visit the Social Security Administration website or call 1-800-772-1213 to update your direct deposit information.

You can find your direct deposit details anytime in Online Banking:

  1. Log in to Online Banking

  2. Select More Services

  3. Choose Routing and Account Numbers

Direct Deposit FAQs

  • Your payor (such as your employer or the Social Security Administration) sends CFFCU notice of an upcoming payment. We make the funds available as soon as we receive the information—often up to two days before your scheduled payday. 

  • Direct deposit is FREE to members making regular deposits to their eligible account(s).

  • For paychecks, log into your employer’s payroll or HR system, or contact your HR or payroll department to confirm if direct deposit is available. For pensions, annuities, or government benefits, contact the payor and provide your account information to directly deposit your check straight to your account(s)—saving time and giving you faster access to your funds. 

  • You’ll typically need: 

    • Carolina Foothills FCU Routing Number: 253279206 

    • Your CFFCU Checking or Savings account number 

    • The type of account (Checking or Savings) 

  • Not always. Early availability depends on when we receive payment information from your payor. Funds may not always arrive early.
